¡@ ¡@ Buddhism says: "Sentient beings have 84,000 distresses; Buddha delivers 84,000 dharma."

¡@ ¡@ The figure, 84,000, is merely used to describe the plentifulness.  It is used to illustrate one rationale:  all the dharma delivered by Buddha are established to cure sentient beings' ignorance and self grasping, and to relieve their distresses and sufferings.  In other words, there is a Dharma to tackle every distress.  If sentient beings have no distress, there is no need for Dharma.  The Tripitaka (three treasures consists of all sutras, vinayas and sastras) with the Canon (divided into twelve volumes) are merely medicines prescribed for specific ailments, given to sentient beings with various aptitude and karmic conditions.

¡@ ¡@ The Lankayatara-Sutras states, "Utpadanirodha (birth and death) is vijnana (consciousness), anutpatti (no birth) and anirodha (no death) are prajna (wisdom of the universe)."

¡@ ¡@ "At the state of attainment of the sacred wisdom, there will neither be entry nor exit i.e. it is like the moon in water."

¡@ ¡@ Therefore, possessing 'entry' and 'exit' is the consciousness of existence and extinction.  It was taught by Buddha who, having no better alternatives, chose the best advice according to the circumstantial needs of sentient beings.

¡@ ¡@ The purpose of Jin-Gang-Dhyana methods is not aimed at Buddha Dharma.  We should know that if our minds are attached to dharma, dharma obstacles there will be.  Blind study and wild practice end up nowhere near the right path.  If the mind is not attaching to objects, then the mind is the path, nature mind is path; then the activities of raising an arm, lifting a leg, eating meals and putting on clothes are all on the right path.

¡@ ¡@ "There are a thousand moons in a thousand rivers with water.  There are ten thousand miles of sky at ten thousand miles of cloudlessness." That is the realm of grand sacred wisdom.

¡@ ¡@ When in mutual agreement with the universe, one attains eternity.  This eternity is not eternity, it is called eternity.  The summit of a mountain has no peer, the state of its attainment cannot be sought.  It cannot be rushed.  Hurrying up does not work, slowing down does not work either.

¡@ ¡@ Whoever lets things develop naturally is a lazy-bone, the tendency to hurry or compete to be faster is ego clinging, and being opinionated is dharma clinging.  Not being a lazy-bone, with ego and dharma clinging eliminated, that is Jin-Gang-Dhyana.
